Pakistan Muslim League (N)
Pakistan Muslim League (N) was founded in 1991 by Nawaz Sharif when is one of the most popular and growing party in Pakistan this time. It is considered as the liberal conservative political party of Pakistan. Pakistan Muslim League N has started several mega developmental projects in Pakistan like Motorway from Peshawar – Islamabad, China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), built several universities, colleges, schools, roads, flyovers, hospitals and like more.
The main objective of Pakistan Muslim League (N) is to support free markets, deregulation, providing support for private ownership and lower taxes. Among all political parties, Pakistan Muslim League N is standing as the most popular political party in the history of the country.
History Pakistan Muslim League (N)
The history of Pakistan Muslim League (N) is also date back from 1991 when the older brother of Shahbaz Sharif, Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif founded this party. The main focus of this party is to support private ownership, implement as lower taxes as possible. Once the party was formed, the PML-N, along with the Pakistan People Party (PPP) dominated the two-party political system in Pakistan.
Pakistan Muslim League (N) has ruled in Pakistan three times in Pakistan, and all the times its government was destabilized and ended by sometime establishment. In the year of 1999, when Pakistan Muslim League (N) was in government, once again the chief of army staff Ret. Genral Pervaiz Musharaff coup, the party was severely weakened. At that time Pervez Musharaf backed Pakistan Muslim League (Quaid). However, when the Pervez Musharaf regime was ended, the Pakistan Muslim League (N) once again took popularity.

Ruling of Pakistan Muslim League N in Pakistan
Pakistan Muslim League (N) has ruled three times in Pakistan, for the first time it was in 1991, second time it ruled from 1997-1999, and then last time it ruled from 2013 – 2018. As a result of 2013 general election, PML-N once again returned to power and Nawaz Sharif was elected as the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
In 2017, the Pakistan Muslim League (N) faced a major setback when its PM Nawaz Sharif was disqualified by the Supreme Court of Pakistan. However, the situation became worsen when Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz was sentenced to imprisonment on the allegations of corruption charges.
2018 General Election and Pakistan Muslim League N
Pakistan Muslim League (N) dramatically lost its popularity and its vote bank against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf in the general election of 2018. PML-N lost most of federal and provincial seats in Punjab, which is considered as its stronghold and other areas.
However, when the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman and Prime Minister Imran Khan was removed as a result of motion, PML-N once again made coalition government with its allies, PPP, JUI, MQM in the federal. This time Shahbaz Sharif was elected as the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
Current Situation of Pakistan Muslim League N
The current situation of Pakistan Muslim League (N) is considered as favorable, as different surveys conducted by various organization shows that the mind of peoples once again changing towards PML-N. As a result of 9 May incident, on which PTI chairman Imran Khan and its other leaders persuaded its worker to attack the government and Pakistan Army premises including the Noor Khan Air Base, GHQ Rawalpindi, Mardan Cantt and other areas, people now thinking PTI as a violant political party.
Pakistan Muslim League N in General Election 2024
The party once again secured in the general election 2024 and made federal government and also government of Punjab assembly. The Shahbaz Sharif, who is the younger brother of former PM Nawaz Sharif once again become Prime Minister of Pakistan.
On the other hand, Maryam Nawaz Sharif who is the daughter of Nawaz Sharif become the Chief Minister of Punjab Province.
