OHIO: The politician of Ohio, Brigid Kelly, who resigned a week before has died due to cancer.
According to latest news form Ohio, as the Hamilton county auditor, Brigid Kelly, who stepped down from his office has died due to cancer. He resigned less than a week in order to focus on her health condition, but unfortunately she has died.
According to sources from Ohio, Brigid Kelly, resigned on March 20, 2024 from her role as auditor of Hamilton county. This county covers the areas of northern suburbs and Cincinnati. Brigid Kelly also worked as Ohio House of Representative from Democrat party from 2016 until 2023.
Kelly family confirmed on March 26, that she has died, at the age of 40 years, after fighting for two years with esophageal cancer.
She was very famous in their local community, as most of the community peoples knew her as very kind, friendly and positive plus dedicated leader who donned much for their county.
While talking about her death, her family said in a statement that “She was a treasured wife, daughter and sister, a valued friend and a true public servant,”. In the same statement, issued by Kelly family, added that she passed at home surrounded by loved ones.
It is to be noted that Brigid Kelly was born and grown in Norwood, Ohio and then she came from a lineage of public officials.

When Kelly graduated from college, she won the seat of Norwood City Council in 2006. After that she also worked for more than a decade with Commercial Workers Union and United Food.
while working as stat representative, Brigid Kelly was always found to bee dedicated and kind. She always said in different floor speeches that “We should be kind to one another,”.
Similarly, on another occasion, during her floor speech, she said that “We have some serious disagreements and differences in perspective, but you really never know what someone else is going through and you should never dismiss the possibility of working together on the issues about which you agree just because you disagree on so many others.”
In order to present her honor, the Ohio governor, Mike DeWine ordered that all flags at the state governor building in Hamilton County and Columbus to be flown at half.
While working as auditor, Brigid Kelly also mad a good impression during her all tenure. She was very hardworking, dedicated and kind with her staff. Amy Humphrey, who is the Interim County Auditor, also wrote in a statement on the website, ” “I am eternally grateful to call her a friend and a co-worker (she hated to be called “boss”), blessed to be a small part of her journey.”
Although cancer in her body was diagnosed two year earlier, and she bravely battled with cancer during her entire tenure, but her colleagues always found her very positive.
When she sent her resignation letter to the community, she also requested and recommended another State Representative Jessica Miranda to take her role.
Brigid Kelly wrote these sentences in her resignation, “There are few greater responsibilities than holding the public trust and being elected to serve,”. “Resigning from this position is a difficult decision, but one that is necessary to address my personal health. “
According to her family sources, Kelly last funeral are scheduled on April 3rd and 4th of 2024. For those who will attend her funeral services are requested to wear a green in her honor.
