ISLAMABAD: PTI senior leader Azam Swati has been arrested once again for sharing controversial tweets on Twitter against senior military officers, on Sunday.
Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) took him into custody from his farmhouse located in Chak Shahzad, Islamabad, early Sunday morning. The Cybercrime Wing of FIA arrested the PTI leader for using abusive language against the senior army official including the army chief of Pakistan.
For sharing controversial tweets against the senior army official and army chief of Pakistan, the PTI senator has been arrested under Sections 500, 501, 505, and 109. It is to be also remembered that under the same provisions, he was also arrested earlier last month.
Using the social media platform, Twitter, he used abusive language against the army chief and other senior officers which drew severe condemnation from political and social circles.
While using Twitter, he used negative and cuss words against the outgoing Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa, and used offensive language against Major General Faisal Naseer.
