LAHORE: After sever criticism by the Army forces over the PTI chairman Imran Khan, the PTI leaders also arranged a press conference in which they said on Thursday that criticizing the armed forces is the constitutional right of Imran Khan after the army’s top officials called out the ex-prime minister.
This statement came as PTI’s senior and top leadership — Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Secretary-General Asad Umar, and Senior Vice President Fawad Chaudhry — addressed a joint press conference in Lahore, after the DG ISPR and DG ISI press conference.
During the press conference, they said that Imran khan criticism is for the country and army betterment. They further said that it his constitutional right to criticize the army, Asad Umar added.
While addressing the press confernece, the PTI top leadership said that imran khan has time and he once again expressed his views about the importance and the role of Pak army “he believes that a strong army is crucial for Pakistan, given its strategical position”.
The PTI leadership accepted that imran khan does not agree to the every decision of the army forces. Answering to a question the PTI leaders said that there are some decisions or actions of the pak army that imran khan criticized; they said Yes, he definitely does that.
