PESHAWAR: The president of Pakistan Dr. Arif Ulvi has appointed JUI-F Haji Ghulam Ali as new governor of Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa, on Wednesday, after the PM Shehbaz Sharif officially nominated him for that post.
Remember that the president of Pakistan Arif Alvi has officially approved the summary for appointing him as the new governor in KPK, where the PTI has vast dominance in that province. With the advice of prime minister Shahbaz Sharif, the president appointed him as the new governor of Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa, under Article 101 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, 1973.
The summary of appointing Haji Ghulam Ali, as new governor of kpk was sent to the president of Pakistan from the Prime Minister’s house, in which the president was advised to appoint him as new governor of Khyber Pakhtoonkh.
Also remember that the seat of Governor of Khyber Pakhtoonkwa was vacant, following the resignation of PTI Shah farman as the governor of KPK, the KP Assembly Speaker Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani has been performing the duties as acting governor since April.
The new governor of KPK, Ghulam Ali has also served as a senator from March 2009 to March 2015. Furthermore, he has been a member of the Senate Standing Committee on Commerce from 2012 to 2015.
In spite of the above positions he worked on, Ghulam Ali has also served as the chairman of the Senate Standing Committee on Information & Broadcasting from 2009 to 2012.
