According to the official Palestinian news agency WAFA, Israeli jets struck multiple facilities in the beleaguered Gaza Strip early Thursday, causing damage but no casualties.
According to the WAFA correspondent, the jets launched two missiles at a facility in the Zaytoun area, south of Gaza City, damaging it and setting fire to it. Residents in the area reported significant damage to their property.
Two missiles were also fired from warplanes against a point west of the Nusseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, inflicting significant damage to the site and neighbouring homes.
The Israeli army also started artillery fire east of Khan Yunis in the Gaza Strip’s south and east of the Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, causing no casualties.
Israel claimed the assaults were in retaliation to a missile fired from Gaza that landed in southern Israel on Wednesday night.
For the second day in a row, Israeli aeroplanes bombed sites in Gaza.
Meanwhile, this morning, Israeli navy vessels fired three rounds at the northern Gaza coast, creating explosions but no casualties.
