SEOUL: On Friday, the North Korean government claimed that they have test fires another nuclear missiles that ramped-up us-South Korean military drills. The North Korean government said about the South Korean – US military drills as “can be regarded as a declaration of war”.
The North Korea missiles test-fires came after the US-South Korea, the two allies, started tabletop exercise at the Pentagon focused on responses to a nuclear attack by Pyongyang.
According to sources the North Korean forces held a “strategic cruise missile launching drill” in the early hours of Thursday, firing four Hwasal-2s, the official Korean Central News Agency reported on Friday.
It is to be noted that under the current UN sanctions, the North Korea is not banned from firing cruise missiles, however, the current military drills followed followed multiple weapons tests this week — including an intercontinental ballistic missile — which was condemned as “provocative” by the UN chief.
On the other hand, the Pyongyang government said about the North Korean current missile test-fire as “unfair and unbalanced”, and severely criticized it on Friday.
