The year’s second-largest Powerball jackpot has been claimed, with only one winning ticket remaining.
According to lottery officials, a ticket sold in Arizona won the $473.1 million jackpot in Wednesday night’s drawing.
The holder can choose between a $473.1 million annuity paid out in 30 graduated payments over 29 years or a $283.3 million lump sum payment (both not counting taxes).
With a Powerball number of 4, the winning numbers were 11, 36, 61, 62, and 68.
Smaller awards Wednesday’s prize pool included $1 million for a single ticket sold in Indiana. That ticket matched the numbers drawn for the five white balls but not for the red Powerball.
This is 2022’s third Powerball jackpot win. The largest jackpot of the year, a $632.6 million jackpot split by two tickets in California and Wisconsin in early January, was also the seventh largest in Powerball history. The other big win this year was a $185.3 million jackpot on February 14.
Wednesday’s jackpot win falls short of the game’s all-time top 10, which begins at $564.1 million (February 2015) and ends with $1.586 billion (January 2016).
