KARACHI: According to sources of the sports news, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has summoned today an crucial meeting with the Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise owners to discuss about the shifting of the Lahore and Rawalpindi matches of the PSL league to Karachi to save money.
The PCB official and PSL franchise owners meeting would be held in Lahore today. According to sports news sources, the board is considering to move the remaining matches of the next leg to Karachi after the PCB received a bill of Rs500 million from Punjab’s provincial government.
The sports news sources further said that the reason behind moving this PSL league matches to Karachi is to save money. The sources also said that the Sindh government is not charging anything from the PCB to host PSL matches in Karachi.
According to latest sports news updates, the sources said that the PCB has already paid Rs50 million for food and beverages to the Punjab government. However, the provincial government of Punjab is pressurizing the board to pay the remaining Rs450 million as soon as possible.
