Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director-General (DG) Major General Babar Iftikhar reiterated the armed forces’ resolute commitment, saying that no conspiracy against the country will prevail.
His remarks come a day after former Prime Minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan said he was correct all along and that the National Security Committee’s (NSC) recent declaration showed there was a US conspiracy to depose him.
According to Major General Babar Iftikhar, Pakistan’s intelligence services are working around the clock to foil the schemes.
“If somebody attempts to concoct a plot against Pakistan, we would not allow it to succeed,” the ISPR DG added.
Major General Iftikhar stated in his most recent media conference that there was no plot against the country.
He stated that the Pakistan Army is in charge of preventing and resolving schemes against the country’s security.
The word ‘conspiracy’ is not used in the NSC statement.
Major General Iftikhar stated on April 14 that the word “conspiracy” was not used in the statement published following a meeting of the National Security Committee (NSC) last month.
He did, however, say that the military leadership’s viewpoint was expressed in both the meeting and the subsequent statement. “The statement contains whatever the meeting concluded.”
He stated that Pakistan’s military agencies are working around the clock to foil such conspiracies and will not allow them to succeed.
