Daniel Theis’s Furious Fight
The Nets are using a zone defence, which has prevented the Celtics from getting into a groove offensively. However, on the above play, as Jayson Tatum drives, Andre Drummond is exclusively concerned with keeping him from getting to the hoop. He’s unaware of Daniel Theis’s location, and he suffers for it when Tatum weaves a bounce pass between Drummond and Bruce Brown to Theis, who smashes home a one-handed jam.
Tatum scores on Derrick White’s touchdown pass.
Jaylen Brown makes an excellent move into the passing lane to intercept Blake Griffin’s swing pass. Then he pushes the ball ahead, avoids Griffin’s foul while tightroping the sideline, and finishes with a hard two-handed flush.
Deep’s Jaylen Brown
Brown dribbles between his knees a couple times, then steps back and swishes a three from 25 feet out during a lively sequence in which Brown and Griffin went shot for shot.
Brown, Jaylen Patty Mills is no longer a part of his life.
Brown begins by shaking Patty Mills with a behind-the-back move, but with Seth Curry assisting, there isn’t a lane for him to attack. As a result, he carries the ball to the top of the key before losing Mills again, this time with a step-back move that gives him an open jumper that he knocks down.
