According to an operational update from Ukraine’s military’s general staff, about 800 cruise and ballistic missiles have been launched against targets in Ukraine since the war began on February 24.
The general staff stated in the statement that the missiles mostly targeted Ukraine’s south and east, but that “they [the Russians] also frequently fired on other items of important infrastructure of societal significance.”
Separately, the general staff said that violence continued in numerous locations of Ukraine on Wednesday.
In Kharkiv, it was reported that Russia is beefing up its offensives to face a counter-offensive launched by Ukrainian soldiers, who recently re-took a number of settlements in the area.
The general staff in Mariupol reported that Russian soldiers were continuing to unleash artillery and airstrikes in the face of ongoing resistance at the Azovstal steel facility.
