WASHINGTON: In the upcoming US presidential election 2024, a new candidate Marianne Williamson makes an entry in the presidential race. Marianne Williamson is a spiritual advisor, activist and self-help author, who announced Saturday that she is a candidate for the US presidency election in 2024.
Marianne Williamson, who is now 70, has become the first Democratic member to official enter the presidential election race of 2024. On the other hand, other Democratic members have held off announcing their candidacies pending a decision from US president Joe Biden, who is now at 80 has make their intension to run again the presidential election but has yet to formally enter the race.
Marianne Williamson, recently summarized her candidate position in her televised announcement while, denouncing mass incarceration, economic inequity and racial injustice and calling for “an emergency-level transition from a dirty economy to a clean economy.”
she said that “Government of the people by the people and for the people is perishing,” she said, referring to an Abraham Lincoln quote. “This government is now a government of the corporations by the corporations and for the corporations.”
In 1992, Marianne Williamson, published her famous book in the name of “A Return to Love” became a best-seller, she was a frequent guest of talk-show superstar Oprah Winfrey, offering advice on personal development while raising her own profile.
In her television debates, Williamson drew the attention with her denunciations of the “dark psychic force” that she said Donald Trump represented.
